Vacation from blogging

I will be other wise detained over the next few weeks with my new arrival. I do not plan to try and blog any because I will not have the sleep or clear headiness to try and conjugate sentences for a while. For our friends Chad is on facebook and will post pics of the new baby with her sisters there. My nesting energy is now gone and all I want to do is sleep, so I am giving in and trying to enjoy the next few days before everything gets turned upside down by Lila's appearance. When we have a routine figured out I may be back. Please pray for us over the next few weeks as we welcome this new addition and then I go back to work.

I'm not a profound thinker but....

I hope that I am not the only one that has ever tried to cover up their true feelings with makeup and hair but I attempted to last night at church. I had a truely wonderful morning yesterday but shortly after lunch Lila tried to make things a little interesting. My back hurt so bad it reminded me of labor (which if you have ever done that it doesn't feel good). They finally went away but I felt awful afterwards. I was trying so hard not to look like I felt to go to church so I put on makeup and took time to really curl my hair. So, I think I've done well extremely well until my BFF sees me walk in and she immediately can see right through me. She knows the look and begins to laugh and tell me tonight was the night. Well, as of well all night it was not the night because I was awake for the whole thing. I guess we continue to wait for Lila to say enough is enough and proceed to evict herself of the 29th which ever comes first. I'll try to post when she makes up her mind, but for now I'm going to try and go to bed and pray for a little sleep before getting everybody up to got o school.

The day is set!

It is offical if all goes well then on January 29th a little after 11am baby Lila will make her grand appearance to this world. Needless to say both big sisters are so excited and it is now marked on the calender on the fridge. Our kindergarten teacher nows and has helped explain to Kirstin that it will be ok to miss school to see her new baby sister. (She is stressed out about missing school because there are these perfect attendance tags they get and well you get the picture). If I had the energy to totally go crazy and start nesting in overdrive I would but this baby girl is a pary animal all night and doesn't rest much during the day. Chad swears she kicks in her sleep so all the attention is on her. I really think she has hired another baby to kick me all night so she can sleep because she is a barrel of fun for the girls during the day. They love to watch her turn and push so much that my clothes wiggle (at least that is what Jasmine calls it).

New Year's came and went and we....

Well, We spent New Year's on doctor appointments and it was not all I dreamed it would be! My oldest was so excited because this is the first year that she really understood what the New Year was about. She had planned to try and stay up and watch movies and eat popcorn, it didn't really happen that way. This is our version of New Year's and I pray this is not what we are doing all year long. Kirstin got sick Wednesday night and we discovered Thursday at the pediatrician's office that this is the worst ear infection he had seen in a long time. He rated it a 10 1/2 on a scale of 0-10, well that seemed to set the tone for the day. She cried most of the day with her ear hurting and nothing seemed to help. This led to spewage every time she tried to eat and bless her heart she feel asleep early and didn't know New Year's had happened until around 8 this morning. I felt bad for her because she had such big plans and wanted to tell her little friends she saw the New Year start.
So she wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year on my blog! Happy New Year from the Slaton clan. We hope you all are well and as soon as the spewing stops, the snot dries up, and everyone sleeps through the night again we will be out and about until then we will celebrate in our pajamas with Gatorade and crackers!
